PalmerGeo - RRC FIELD REPORT 9-20-2021Rose Ridge Condominiums Field Report Observations P* PALMER C/Geotechnical Consultants, Inc. FIELD REPORT Project Name: Rose Ridge Condominiums PGC Representative: Meghan Hallam Time Onsite: 8:45 am Daily Task: Observe helical piles and load test Project Number: Date: 09.20.2021 19011 09.20.2021 Weather: Sunny Comments Palmer Geotechnical Consultants (PGC) onsite as requested to observe the installation of helical piles at the project location. Five helical anchors are part of the design as tie -backs. Helical anchors are 5 feet in length at 1.5-inch diameter, with an 8-inch lead flights followed by a 10-inch flight. Refusal criteria is 550 psi driven with a rubber track excavator. Due to complications that arose from the existing catch basin and associated pipes, on Friday, September 17, 2021 the contractor and Pile King representatives exposed the pipes and catch basin. Helical anchors 1, 3, 4, and 5 were placed 10.0 feet in at prescribed angles and backfilled. H1 was advanced on Friday with refusal of 1,550.0 psi for 15.0 feet at 19 degrees. On Monday, September 20, 2021, PGC was onsite to observe the advancement of A3, A4, and A5. A3 was advanced to refusal of 1,550.0 psi for 20.0 feet at 19 degrees. A4 was advanced to refusal of 550.0 psi for 35.0 feet at 17 degrees. A5 was advanced to refusal at 1,550.0 psi for 20.0 feet at 16 degrees. A4 and A5 will be cut back to meet the whaler for a total length of 31.0 and 17.0 feet, respectively. Helical Length Angle Al 15.0' 190 A3 20.0' 190 A4 35.0' 170 A5 20.0' 160 A pull test was performed on A3. 1,000 psi was placed on the helical anchor and sustained for 10 minutes.
