Daily Task: Observe pin piles
Comments
Palmer Geotechnical Consultants (PGC) onsite as requested to observe the installation of pin piles at
project location. Eleven piles were driven along the east side of the project area with two piles driven at
the north and south end for the return by Pile King (contractor). Piles were 2-in round schedule 80 steel
in 10.5-foot lengths.
Piles were driven with a 400-pound hammer on a rubber track excavator. Refusal criteria is 1-inch at 10
seconds. Table 1 shows the pile number and driven length.
