Dear Representative at City of Edmonds:
I, Iman Ghorbani, registered professional engineer at State of Washington, write this letter to
approve the following two change orders for the property located at the address mentioned
above:
1- After opening the walls to install new door opening, it is figured out that the exiting wall
studs are typical wood studs instead of metal studs as assumed and detailed on drawings.
Therefore it is allowed and confirmed to use 2-2x6 wood studs either sides as jacking for door
header and one king stud behind it at either sides. it is also approved to use 4x8 as header
for new door.
2- There is an existing 72" by 60" tall window supposed to reduce the width from 72" to 36"
width keeping the same 60" height. It is confirmed that without touching and changing the
existing header, jacking and king studs to add two intermediate 2x6 studs under the existing
header to decrease the width of window.
