ACQ is a corrosive material and therefore the type and quality of connectors, fasteners, washers and other metal that come into contact with the treated lumber is very important. to prevent electrolysis, always match metal components with fasteners that are compatible. All connectors that come into contact with treated materials are to be Simpson Strong -Tie G185 Z-Max, HDG (hot dip galvanized) or SST300 (stainless steel) or equivalent.
