No. Representative 2" 2000B HC (50mm) Series 2000E Double Check Valve Assemblies are designed to protect drinking water supplies for dangerous cross -connections in accordance with national plumbing codes and water authority requirements for non -health -hazard non - potable service applications such as irrigation, fire line, or industrial processing. These valves meet the requirements of ASSE Std. 1015 and AWWA Std. C510 and are approved by the Foundation for Cross -Connection Control and Hydraulic Research at the University of Southern California. Specifications A Double Check Valve Assembly shall be installed at each noted location. The assembly shall consist of two positive seating check modules with captured springs and rubber seat discs. The check module seats and seat discs shall be replaceable. Service of all internal components shall be through a single access cover secured with stainless steel bolts. The assembly shall also include two resilient seated isolation valves and four top mounted, resilient seated test cocks. The assembly shall meet the requirements of ASSE Std. 1015 and AWWA Std. C510. DESCRIPTION Viking Freedom") Residential Concealed Pendent Sprinkler VK494 is a small thermosensitive, glass -bulb residential sprinkler designed for installation on concealed pipe systems where the appearance of a smooth ceiling is desired. The orifice design, with a K-Factor of 4.9 (70.6 metric*), allows the sprinkler's efficient use of available water supplies for the hydraulically designed fire -protection system. The fast response glass bulb operating element and special deflector characteristics meet the challenges of residential sprinkler standards. The sprinkler is pre -assembled with a threaded adapter for installation with a low -profile small -diameter cover assembly installed flush to the ceiling. The two- piece design allows installation and testing of the sprinkler prior to installation of the cover plate. The "push -on", "thread -off' design of the concealed cover plate assembly allows easy installation of the cover plate after the system has been tested and the ceiling finish has been applied, while also providing up to 1/2" (13 mm) of vertical adjustment. The cover assembly can be removed and reinstalled, allowing temporary removal of ceiling panels without taking the sprinkler system out of service or removing the sprinkler. The Electroless Nickel PTFE (ENT) coating has been investigated for installation in corrosive atmospheres and is C-UL- US-EU Listed as corrosion resistant as indicated in the Approval Charts. The ENT finish is only available for the sprinkler assembly, the cover plate is not plated. 2. OPERATION During fire conditions, when the temperature around the sprinkler approaches its operating temperature, the cover plate detaches, releasing the deflector. Continued heating of the exposed sprinkler causes the heat -sensitive liquid in the glass bulb to expand, causing the glass to shatter, releasing the yoke and pip cap and sealing spring assembly.. Water flowing through the sprinkler orifice strikes the deflector, forming a uniform spray pattern over a specific area of coverage determined by the water supply pres- sure at the sprinkler to extinguish or control the fire. 6. DESCRIPTION Viking Mirage° Standard and Quick Response Concealed Pendent Sprinkler VK462 and HP Sprinkler VK463 are thermosensitive glass -bulb spray sprinklers designed for installation on concealed pipe systems where the appearance of a smooth ceiling is desired. The sprinkler is pre -assembled with a threaded adapter for installation with a low -profile cover assembly that provides up to '/2" (12.7 mm) of vertical adjustment. The two- piece design allows installation and testing of the sprinkler prior to installation of the cover plate. The "push -on", "thread -off' design of the concealed cover plate assembly allows easy installation of the cover plate after the system has been tested and the ceiling finish has been applied. The cover assembly can be removed and reinstalled, allowing temporary removal of ceiling panels without taking the sprinkler system out of service or removing the sprinkler. The Globe Quick Response GL Series Dry Type Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler utilizes a 3mm frangible glass ampule as the thermosensitive element. This provides sprinkler operation approximately six times faster than ordinary sprinklers. At the ampule's rated temperature, the sprinkler opens releasing the bulb seat, causing the inner tube assembly to move, allowing the spring assembly to pivot alongside the inner tube. At this time, water flows through the sprinkler and is distributed by the deflector, in an approved discharge pattern. It can be installed wherever standard spray sprinklers are specified but offers the additional feature of greatly increased safety to life. Quick Response Sprinklers should be used advisedly and under the direction of approving authorities having jurisdiction. The heart of Globe's GL Series sprinkler proven actuating assembly is a hermetically sealed frangible glass ampule that contains a precisely measured amount of fluid. When heat is absorbed, the liquid within the bulb expands increasing the internal pressure. At the prescribed temperature the internal pressure within the ampule exceeds the strength of the glass causing the glass to shatter. This results in water discharge which is distributed in an approved pattern.
