Project Description —
The Montclair Owners Association is planning on replacing most of the existing 6' high cedar fencing with a similar 6'
high cedar fence. The total fencing being replaced is approximately 1,321 LF. Approximately 155 LF of the fencing is
located along Main Street. The fencing along Main Street is between 4' and 6' off the city sidewalk beyond a planting
strip. Installing the fence will require digging holes for cement that will hold the pipe the fencing will be supported by.
The 20' wide 6' high cedar fence at the south end of the property which accesses Bowdoin Way is also being replaced
with a 14' wide 6' high metal gate. The gate has previously been identified as a Fire Lane; however, the Fire Marshall
indicates that it is no longer necessary. I have included a copy of the email below. I have also included our bid from City
Wide Fence Company and other fence details.

After coming out and looking at the fence and surrounding area. I no longer consider this a fire lane. No fire apparatus will
the property on the other side. You can build a solid fence, a smaller gate. or replace the existing gate as you see fit
