WSEC Energy Credit Option
Choice
As per 2018 Washington State Energy Code, Section R406.3 Additional energy efficiency requirements:
additions of less than 500 sgft require 1.5 credits.
1. The areas considered additions include: Atrium (185.4 sgft) and the library on basement floor (138.6 sgft)
for total area of additions = 324.0 sgft.
2. Option choice: High efficiency HVAC equipment option 3.5:

To qualify to claim this credit, the building permit drawings shall specify the option being selected
and shall specify the heating equipment type and the minimum equipment efficiency" .
