CONSTRUCTION STATUS:
Project is currently installing epoxied anchor rods.
OBSERVATIONS:
Brian Moll of SCBC Engineering (SCBC) visited the Moll Residence Ph2 Addition project on
Friday 28 April and Thursday, 4 May 2023.
Weather: Cloudy, Temp Low to Mid 50s both days
28 April Observations:
Holes were drilled to the required depth with a rotary hammer and Bosch 3/ "
diameter bit.
2. Holes were cleaned by multiple passes of
o Simpson bulb blowing
o Simpson nylon hole cleaning brush
o Wet/dry vac blowing with hole blowing attachment
o Wet/dry vacuum suction
o Water blast with Hose pressure attachment
3. Water was removed from holes with wet/dry vac suction attachment
4. Holes further dried with rag on Simpson nylon cleaning brush
4 May Observations:
Simpson Set 3G was used which is a superior product to the Simpson Set XP called out
on the permit drawings.
2. Epoxy was installed per manufacturer printed instructions.

3. 5/8" dia. ASTM F1554 GR 36 threaded rods were inserted twisting counterclockwise
until they reached the required embedment depth.
4. At the current temperature the rods would remain undisturbed for 3 days.
