EXISTING SITE SUMMARY: The existing site is currently occupied by a single family residence surround by lawn and landscaping and is sloped from the north to the south. Existing storm water runoff is routed to an existing stormwater detention tank with pumps that provides flow control for 23419 84th Ave W and 23421 84th Ave W. Flow control from the existing detention tank is regulated by a pumping system with a restricted nozzle. PROPOSED PROJECT: The proposed project will construct a building extension and covered patio covering an area of less than 800 sf as shown in Appendix A. The runoff from the proposed building extension and covered patio covering will be routed to the existing unmodified storm drainage detention tank. Table 1 provides a summary of the area breakdown: Table 1. This will be provided by the Contractor. www.osbornconsulting.com BELLEVUE • SEATTLE • SPOKANE • BELLINGHAM Manogaran + Bailey Residence I Storm Water Memorandum October 3, 2022 Rev: November 29, 2022 IMPACTS TO THE EXISTING DETENTION SYSTEM: The storm drainage design for the original 2014 short plat used SBUH to size the detention system as allowed by the City code at that time. Since the current storm drainage code only allows continuous modeling, WWWHM was used to determine the change in the 100-year surface elevation in the existing unmodified detention tank. Per "Addendum To Edmonds Community Development Code" Chapter 18.30 section 2.1, the WWHM model used the "Puget East 36" precipitation time series, and modeled the existing detention and pumping system as a stage -storage -discharge table (SSD). The model results in Appendix B show that for a properly maintained existing unmodified detention and pumping system including the runoff from the proposed project would only increase the 100-year water surface elevation by 0.5-inches and still be below the invert of the overflow pipe and the rim of the lowest catch basin. �oll8ss �t��� < 11.29.22 I4NAU lf� Osborn Consulting, Inc.
