50 Pine St unit 413 Edmonds, WA 98020

This scope of work description is for the installation of a single zone
Mitsubishi ductless heat pump system. This will be a 2-day installation
with a 2-man crew, and a one day installation for a solo electrician.
Lifetime Heating will use a wall -mount system to install the exterior heat
pump unit above the assigned parking stall for unit 413. The mount will
include proper shock absorbers to ensure no transmittal of vibration
throughout the structure. The electrical to power the unit will be run from
a new circuit that will be attached to the electrical panel in unit 413. The
access point for the electrical circuit to run into the parking structure will
be through the 3" hole that is currently fire -calked and holding the
secondary overflow drain for the water heater that resides inside the unit.
This fire -calking will be removed temporarily to allow for the electrical
circuit, in proper code -approved conduit to utilize this access point.
While that access point is exposed, Lifetime Heating will also route the
insulated refrigeration lines from the garage mounted heat pump unit into
unit 413. From that entry point, the lines will be routed up the interior wall
of that closet, behind where the water heater is situated, then across the
ceiling, where it will then penetrate through that wall and to the other side
if that same wall next to the kitchen where the indoor unit will be mounted.
Once the electrical circuit and refrigeration lines are run and secured,
Lifetime Heating will then add a new secondary drain line for the water
heater and re -seal that access point with new fire -calk to meet code
requirements. During this installation process, the hot water tank in unit
413 will need to be temporarily uninstalled to allow installation of the
electrical and refrigeration lines through this access point, and will then be
immediately reinstalled upon completion of the installation of said
electrical, refrigeration and new secondary drain line for the water tank.
On the garage side, all electrical circuit conduit, as well as the refrigeration
lines running from the heat pump unit to the interior access point will be
tucked above the current insulation sound barrier on the garage roof,
hiding these materials from sight. The only visible part of the system in the
garage will be the wall mounted heat pump unit itself, and roughly 3 feet of
refrigeration lines running from the unit to the ceiling. The electrical
circuit will be wall mounted to a disconnect switch, and also have a service
outlet, and will have an appearance very similar to the current and existing
units that are in the garage already.
Customer (Brenda Moore) is aware that there will be necessary drywall
access points made inside the unit, and understands that it will be her
responsibility to have those repaired/replaced upon completion of the
installation itself. Lifetime Heating will do everything possible to minimize
these, but makes no guarantee as to the exact size and amount of cuts
necessary until the installation process begins.
