General Contractor "TOV Siding" has replaced the beam at 209 Dayton
Street in Edmonds per proposed architect plans (See sheet A-3.0, detail
#3). Old (existing) beam was sitting in two metal brackets, and it could
not be replaced in one solid piece, so they had to make a "Glulam
Beam" at the place as we proposed. It was made with 13 pieces of 2x6
with 3" nails and special glue between each layer. In general, the whole
building was built with a metal structural frame. It is ok that this beam
was made so.
This corresponds to the beam presented in the project.
