My review for compliance with ECDC 23.10.040.F, the codes applicable to tree removal on private property, applies to only one tree, Tree #4 below. The remaining four trees, Trees #1-3 and 5 are located in the right of way and will need to be reviewed separately by the Public Works Division. } ASP - S87-53 37 I/E1\ \ 3 DRYVY '8'r S0 H. 1 . .. f E' 74 4 l. DRWY r° CURB LINE -EX. C. B. RIM=310.8 I.E. =307.4 Determination. No critical areas that might limit tree removal are present where Tree #4 is located. Snohomish PUD has provided the necessary documentation per ECDC 23.10.040.F.1 to approve the removal of a nuisance tree on private property; therefore Page 1 of 2 Tree #4 is approved for removal Tree replacements. Per ECDC 23.10.080, 1-3 replacement trees are required, depending on the size of the removed tree. Although the application letter states Trees #1-5 are less than 24 inches DBH (trunk diameter at 4.5 feet above grade), specific DBH was not included in your submittal materials. It appears from the photos that Tree #4 falls in the size category between 14-24 inches DBH. For each removed tree within this size category, three replacement trees are required. The minimum sizes for replacement trees shall be 1.5 inches caliper for deciduous trees and six feet in height for evergreen trees. Please contact me when you have planted the replacement tree for removed Tree #4 so I can schedule an inspection. I have notified Public Works that a determination for the removal of right of way Trees #1-3 and 5 is requested. If you don't hear from Public Works this week, call their customer service hotline at (425) 771-0235 or email them at pw(a)edmondswa.gov.
