Re: City of Edmonds Substantial Development Permit No. PLN2022-0048
Ecology Permit No. 2022-NWRO-6458
Dear Moe Nave:
On October 19, 2022, the Department of Ecology (Ecology) received notice that the City of
Edmonds (City) has approved with conditions your application for a Substantial Development
Permit (SDP) to install a 3-phase circuit loop to back up the Edmonds waterfront, Ferry, Amtrak
and businesses, and convert and underground 3 power poles. The project is located at Railroad
Street Right -of -Way (ROW) between 102 Main Street and the railroad tracks within an Urban
Mixed Use II shoreline environment designation along Puget Sound.
By law, local governments must review all SDPs for compliance with:
The Shoreline Management Act (Chapter 90.58 RCW),
The SDP approval criteria (WAC 173-27-150), and
The Edmonds Shoreline Master Program.
Local governments, after reviewing SDPs for compliance, are required to submit them to
Ecology. We have received your SDP.
