Final inspection report for Building A - 546
All inspections performed at the project were based on the builder’s specifications, product manufacturer’s specifications, and good industry standards and practice. All references
made are to the plans and specifications developed specifically for the project. Course of construction inspections were performed of the building enclosure for the purpose of quality
application of material to meet specifications.
All following areas were inspected with comments for each item and results of inspections.
Window flashing
Window installation
Weather Barrier
Siding material and trim – general install
Roof flashing
Other exterior flashing details
Exterior penetrations
Windows: (Jeld Wen)
Window installation was inspected for installation per product manufacturer’s specifications.
The areas inspected were observed to be completed with no outstanding correction items.
Weather barrier: (Henry Weathersmart Housewrap)
The weather barrier material was inspected for installation to manufacturer’s recommendations and building code.
The weather barrier was inspected to assure no tears, gaps or missing areas. Inspections were performed for correct overlap of material and sealing of the penetrations.
The areas inspected were observed to be completed with no outstanding correction items.
Flashing: (Fortifiber High Performance System)
Window and sliding door flashing was inspected for correct application of material per product manufacturer’s recommendations, builder’s specifications, building code and good industry
standards. Flashing was installed at the windows and sliding doors using Fortifiber flashing installation specifications.
The areas inspected were observed to be completed with no outstanding correction items.
Siding (Fiber Cement siding):
Siding and trim was inspected for general installation to good industry practices. Siding and trim specifications included caulking of the areas recommended by manufacturer.
The areas inspected were observed to be completed with no outstanding correction items.
Doors:
Man doors were inspected for installation per builder’s specifications. Sills were inspected for correct sealing against water intrusion.
The areas inspected were observed to be completed with no outstanding correction items.
Penetrations: (vents, lights, hose bibs, other)
Exterior envelope penetrations were inspected for correct application of flashing material and sealing at the penetrations.
The areas inspected were observed to be completed with no outstanding correction items.
Roofing:
Roof flashing was inspected for correction application at roof to wall areas and other flashing areas for installation to building code.
The areas inspected were observed to be completed with no outstanding correction items.
Other:
A water resistance test was performed on a sample of windows as required by RCW 64.55 with a pass.
Final:
The building enclosure elements of the building were inspected during the course of material application from window flashing to completion of the exterior cladding materials and sealing
of all penetrations. Materials are determined to be installed to specifications, building code and to good industry standards. Inspections comply with requirements of RCW 64.55.
