Previously, the irrigation supply line in the electrical/HVAC chase on the Sno Isle library plaza area broke,
causing a flood in the library building below the break. The cause of the break is unknown, but may have
been caused by settlement or aged and brittle PVC.
Parks staff repaired the broken PVC and replaced with a stainless steel braided connection. This
emergency plumbing work was completed without a permit.
We are now seeking a plumbing permit for the repaired irrigation supply to ensure compliance with the
plumbing requirements.
Jesse Curran and Thom Sullivan have more background on this plumbing fixture. I will relay any
questions from permit staff to Jesse and Thom to get a more detailed answer.
