1) Current Editions of the International Building Code (2018),
Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), International
Mechanical (IMC), National Electric Code (NEC), and the
Washington State Energy Code, shall apply.

7) Plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work shall be bidder design.
This work shall be under separate permits according to applicable
Codes.
8) The General Contractor shall coordinate Special Inspections that
are required by the Building Department.
9) Install draft stops in floor/ceiling assemblies so that
concealed space does not exceed 1000 square feet.
Draft stopping shall be installed per the IBC.
10) Provide fireblocking in all wall assemblies. Fireblocking to be
installed per the IBC.
11) Provide blocking in walls behind light fixtures, towel bars,
hose bibs, structural steel connections, and any other wall mounted
accessories. Verify type of mounting blocking with Architect prior
to installation.
12) Use pressure treated lumber at all exterior applications and
where in contact with concrete surfaces. Use appearance
grade material at all exposed locations.
13) Provide ventilation from all enclosed assemblies when required
by the IBC.

17) All hazardous glazing locations shall comply with the IBC.
18) All skylights shall comply with the IBC.
19) Smoke detectors shall be installed in locations as indicated in
the plans, hard wired with battery backup. Smoke alarms shall
be interconnectedin such a manner that activation
of one alarm will activate all of the alarms in the residence
per the IBC.
20) Carbon monoxide detectors shall be installed per the IBC and
as shown on the drawings.
21) All habitable space and ceiling heights shall comply with the
IBC.
22) Contractor to provide shop drawings for all cabinets, windows
and doors, architectural steel such as stairs, handrails,
columns, beams, guardrails, brick veneer, prefabricated roof
trusses, to Architect for approval prior to proceeding with the
material order and manufacture.
