THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED:
Helical Piles:
AESI was onsite today at 10am, as requested by the contractor to observe and document helical pile installation.
The contractor set up and installed pile H7 today as shown on Figure 1. See Table 1 for helical installation details. The
helical appeared to be installed to minimum specifications, per plan. After the installation of pile H7, the contractor
planned to install H18, but while repositioning equipment, the pressure gauges were damaged and began leaking fluid.
AESI recommended drilling and installing H7 regardless and rechecking the pressure Monday (12/5) once new gauges
were available. During installation, though, a sewer line that was unknown to Advanced Foundation Supports was broken,
requiring the removal of the helical. This ended work for the day as a plumber needed to be called to fix the damage.
Work finished at 12:30PM, and AESI planned to return the following week to continue observing helical pile installation.
