It is our understanding that the contractor wishes to add over framing over the flat roof over the guest
room and dining room to create a pitched roof for the areas mentioned at the above project. Provided the
existing roof rafters are 2x10 at 16" o.c. it will be acceptable to add 2x over framing over the roof to create
the desired pitch. If the rafter spacing is greater than 16" o.c. we would recommend adding matching roof
rafters at the center of each (E) rafter bay.
