Good morning, Chris.
Thank you for your questions.
Yes, we plan to staff a security guard in close proximity to the entrance to monitor foot traffic. We are
also developing our operating procedures for this CWD system. A part of this procedure will include
what to do in the event of emergency egress, we are directing our security staff to undo the belt from
the stanchion. This is something other jurisdictions have requested, and we are in agreement on to
ensure we would not impede foot traffic exiting the building.
A dual -lane system was not procured for this site, but depending on use and foot traffic numbers I can
see us replacing the single with a dual in the future (if budget allows). Fortunately, these are plug -and -
play so swapping this out in the future would be a simple endeavor. They're not secured to the ground
and have casters to roll the unit away.
Thank you.

Fernando,
I have couple questions regarding this system.
1. Will the weapon detection system location be constantly staffed by security personnel?
2. 1 see that you are proposing to install the single lane system opposed to a dual lane system.
Would the dual lane be an option?
My concern is the ability for occupants to exit during an emergency. The exit doors have a clear space of
67 inches. The single lane detection system offers a 39.8 inches of clear path to exit while the dual lane
detection system offers a 79.6 inch clear path. Also in consideration the possibility that this location
would be constantly occupied and supervised by a security guard who would be responsible for
removing the retractable belts to open up the exit path.
Thank you
