1. The contractor shall perform all of this work in accordance with the latest edition of the International
Building Code and all other local, state, and national codes or regulations having jurisdiction. Applicable
codes include but are not limited to the current edition of the following:
International Residential Code
Washington State Energy Code
International Mechanical Code
International Fire Code
Uniform Plumbing Code
National Electric Code
2. Contractor must contact architect immediately on any discrepancies between contract documents
and applicable codes prior to proceeding with work.
3. Contractor shall be responsible for acquiring all necessary permits for the work, except for the
general building permit, which is the responsibility of the owner.
4. Do not scale the drawings. If a conflict in the drawings is encountered, notify Studio 8x3 in writing
for clarification.
5. Field verify all dimensions prior to ordering materials or beginning construction.
6. Contractor is responsible to verify that the job -site environment, substrate conditions and material
preparations meet manufacturer requirements for the specified products and for a warranteed
installation.
7. Repetitive features may be drawn only once, but shall be provided as if drawn in full. Repetitive
notes may be called out only once and indicated as typical.
8. The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper execution and
completion of the Work by the Contractor. The Contract Documents are complementary and what is
required by one shall be binding as if required by all.
9. All materials provided for the work are to be new, warranted and free from defects.
10. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, accessories, equipment, and incidentals required
to complete all of the work specified or reasonably implied within the contract documents, which shall
include the materials and finish specifications package. If any material or work is to provided by owner it
will be specifically noted as such.
11. Contractor is responsible for coordinating mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractors and
notifying the architect of any discrepancies in framing prior to proceeding with the work.
12. Shop drawings shall be provided to Studio 8x3 for review on all fabricated items, including but not
limited to: doors, windows, casework, paneling, specialty glazing and shower surrounds, railings and
ornamental metals. Shop drawings shall be submitted prior to fabrication.
11. All doors not located by dimensions on plans or details shall be 3 inches from face of adjacent right
angle wall to edge of door opening or centered between room partitions.
