Fire Line DCDA and Hotbox
1. The DCDA was not installed per the approved plans. The approved civil plans had the DCDA
inside of an underground vault. A revision to the approved civil plans shall be required prior to
approval of the DCDA and hotbox. The City of Edmonds Planning dept. has indicated that the
hotbox will not be allowed to exceed 36" above grade within the 16' setback.
Water Service Line
1. The water service line that was installed does not have the proper F vertical separation between
the other underground utilities.
2. The water service line was not properly bedded with granular sand.
3. It is unclear whether the Ford fitting used to connect the new water service line to the existing
water service line can be directly buried. Please provide the manufactures specifications that it
is ok for direct burial.
** Prior to continuing work on the fire line DCDA, a permit revision will be required. **
** Water service line inspections will be allowed to continue. **
