Dear Mr. Stephens:
This letter is in response to the City of Edmonds Inspection Notice dated May 14, 2024 regard
the attachment of the roof top HVAC units (RTUs) to the curbs and the attachment of the curbs
to the building structure. The Trane RTUs are placed on metal curb assemblies fabricated by
Columbia Products which, in turn, are located over existing roof framing. The RTUs are attached
to the metal roof curbs using #9 sheet metals screws at 6 inches on center and the curbs are
secured to the structure using SDS25212 screws at 12 inches on center. This configuration is
acceptable, structurally. Should you have any further comments or questions, feel free to contact
