Conditional Approval
11/30 — Photos were provided showing the structural dilapidation due to water infiltration. It is imperative the
windows are replaced prior to the wet season to prevent further damage. (ECDC 20.45.000.K — Edmonds Register
of Historic Places: Emergency Repair)
The permit is approved provided a Certificate of Appropriateness is applied for upon installation of the replacement
windows.
Please work with me in the Planning Department to compile the necessary documents as listed below.
Certificate of Appropriateness Application Materials
Documentation is required for alterations to a property on the Edmonds Register of Historic Places (ERHP) or for
new construction within a district on the Register. Required documentation shall minimally include all the
materials identified illustrating:
1. Existing conditions.
2. Proposed alterations.
3. Effect on historic properties (impact).
At least one copy of the documents detailed below must be submitted with the application. These will remain on
file with the EHPC. All drawings, plans and elevations must be drawn to scale or have the measurements included.
1. Existing conditions
a. A copy of the ERHP nomination (attached)
b. Photographs - including elevations and facades that are to be altered.
2. Proposed alterations
a. Precise written statement describing work on historic property.
b. Working drawings.
3. Impact
a. Working drawings showing how proposed alterations would affect historic elements listed in the ERHP
nomination.
b. Precise written statement describing how proposed work will impact features the confer significance to the
historic property as identified on ERHP nomination.
