This letter is also in support. We propose to move the building 8" to the north and raise the Average Overall Elevation ("A.O.E") by 14". Moving the building 8" to the north will allow us to have a full three feet of clearance around the electrical meter box, which we plan to locate on the south wall of the garage. Raising the A.O.E by 14" will allow us to avoid a conflict with an existing retaining wall that is located on the east boundary. The 8" northward shift is shown on revised page A0.1, in figure 1. It is also shown on revised page A2.1. The 14" upward shift to the A.O.E. is shown on revised pages A0.1, A1.0, A2.0, A2.1, A2.2, A4.0, A4.1, and A5.0. There are no other changes to the architectural drawings except for this 14" upward shift. There is no new retaining wall on the plans, but there has been a change in the type of wall depicted. My understanding is that the homeowners and architect and engineer had not yet decided — at the time of permit submission -- on the type of retaining wall to be constructed on the south boundary. The original site plans (page A0.1) showed a soldier pile retaining wall on the south boundary, while the revised site plans (revised page A0.1) show an 8" concrete retaining wall. We plan to construct the 8" concrete retaining wall in accordance with the retaining wall details on page S4.2 of the approved plans. I hope this makes sense. If you have any questions or need more information about this, please let me know. Sincerely, NRC Homes LLC Stephanie M. R. Bird Project Specialist
