SW FILE NO. PLN2024-0064 Dear Ms. Becker: Thank you for applying for a landscape modification design review located at 8514 210th Pl. SW. Please accept this letter as the City's notice to the applicant that the application is approved, pursuant to ECDC 20.02.007. You may now remove the split -rail fence from Tracts 995 and 997. This approval eliminates the requirement for the upkeep of the split -rail fence on Tracts 995 and 997 of the Madrona Cove Planned Residential Development by its Homeowners Association. This former requirement was recorded on the plat map and documented in the decision by the Hearing Examiner which approved the subdivision. It is in the area along Pioneer Way, Tract 995 and 997. Trees and branches have fallen, over the years, and caused considerable damage to the fence. Early this summer another large branch fell and now we are faced with damage to about 50% of the fence. The fence runs along a public right of way and we are concerned it may cause an impediment, or possibly a danger, to the many pedestrians that walk along Pioneer Way. Our HOA will provide all of the labor for the fence removal and disposal of the pieces. This project will have no cost to the City of Edmonds.
