Economic Development Commission meeting called to order by Matt Cox at 4:14 p.m.
Call to Order
1. Roll Call and Recognition of Approved Absences: Nick, Natalie, Carrie, Pete and Kate are unable to
attend.
2. Approval of Agenda: Allan motion, Nicole seconded, motion passes.
3. Review & Discuss Letter of support for Port of Edmonds Fiscal Year 2025 Congressionally Directed
Spending request to fund the North Portwalk & Seawall Reconstruction: Brandon shares a
presentation, attached as Exhibit A, to give background on the project that they're seeking funding
for. Matt confirms with Brandon that these funds will support Phase 2, as did the Commission's
previous letter of support. He adds that the prior letter of support for the project was presented to
the full EDC and had majority support it was reasonable to expedite the support for this funding
opportunity.
Nicole motions to approve this letter of support to be forwarded to Rick Larsen on behalf of the
Economic Development Commission, Kevin H. seconds, all in attendance approve, motion passes.
Darrol recommends empowering the Chair & Vice Chair to continue support of this project for any
future requests come. This will be presented at a future meeting.

Darrol would like to have 5 minutes on the May 22nd agenda to speak about the exercise that was
done in March. Matt plans to discuss this exercise at the next meeting and this will fit nicely.
