The drawings shall be used together with the specifications and architectural drawings. Contractor shall verify all dimensions and conditions for compatibility between all the drawings and specifications which are a part of the contract documents. Notify architect and engineer of any discrepancies prior to continuance of the work. 2. These drawings were produced with Revit by Autodesk and taken from a 3D model. The use of a performance mix requires batch plant inspection, the cost of which shall be paid by the contractor, unless the proposed mix has been granted continuous approval by the governing building jurisdiction. Review of the mix design by the engineer indicates only that the information presented conforms generally with the contract documents. The contractor maintains full responsibility for mix performance. 2. All horizontal concrete surfaces exposed to weather and freeze /thaw shall have a minimum compressive strength at 28-days of 4,500 psi and shall be air -entrained, with air content conforming to ACI 318 Table 19.3.3.1 for Exposure Class F2. Vertical foundation walls below grade, which are exposed to dirt and weather, shall have a minimum compressive strength of 3,500 psi and shall be air -entrained, with air content conforming to ACI Table 19.3.3.1 for Exposure Class F1 minimum. 3. Reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A615, Grade 60, Fy = 60 ksi. 4. Reinforcing steel shall be detailed in accordance with ACI 315-99 and ACI 318-14. No bars partially embedded in hardened concrete shall be field -bent unless indicated or approved by the engineer. 6. Framing lumber shall be kiln -dried or MC-19, graded and marked in conformance with WCLIB Standard Grading Rules for West Coast Lumber No. 17. All wood plates in direction contact with concrete or masonry shall be pressure -treated with a preservative that conforms to AWPA U1 for above ground use as well as the M4 field treatment standard. Shear wall nailing into pressure treated sill plates shall be with hot -dipped galvanized nails. See Wood notes 11 and 14 for additional fastener requirements in treated lumber. 3. All pressure -treated wood members indicated shall be pressure -treated with Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA), Dot Sodium borate (SBX), Copper Azole (CA or CBA-A), or Alkaline Copper Quat (ACQ-C or ACQ-D) preservatives. Ammoniacal Copper Zinc Arsenate (ACZA) shall not be used. SBX preservative shall only be used for pressure treated members not exposed to weather for a prolonged duration. 4. Glued -laminated members shall be fabricated in conformance with ASTM and AITC standards in a plant certified or approved by the building official. Each member shall bear an AITC identification mark. 5. Engineered lumber shall bear a stamp noting the name and plan number of the manufacturer, the grade and the NER or ICC-ES report number and the quality control agency. Design indicated is based on engineered lumber as manufactured by Trus-Joist in accordance with ICC-ES Legacy Report No. ESR-1387. Alternate engineered lumber may be used subject to review and approval by the architect and structural engineer. A current NER or ICC-ES report shall be submitted, along with cone -for -one listing of each proposed member substitution along with differences in engineering properties for each member. The contractor shall be responsible for all engineering costs related to the review and approval and/or redesign by the Engineer of Record to accommodate the proposed substitution. 9. Timber connectors indicated shall be Strong -tie, as manufactured by Simpson Company. All connectors against pressure -treated wood that contains preservatives other than Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA- C) or Dot Sodium Borate (SBX) shall be manufactured from Simpson ZMAX-coated steel (G185 per ASTM A653) or 316E stainless steel.
