We have uncovered decay at unit deck 2A rim, joist and both beams. North beam has 1 /211 of
decay at the face and top. South beam has decay 311 from the top 1 /2° deep and runs back 7°
at the tip of beam. How would you like us to proceed with repairs to the beams, rim and straps?

INFORMATION RESPONSE
Repair deteriorated deck beams (cantilevered 4x12 typ.), and edge deck joist, and rim
joist per the attached detail sketch. Replace rusty existing straps at joists to match
existing, or use Simpson LSTA12.
