We have uncovered decay at unit deck 2C rim, and beam. The South beam has 1 /2° of decay at
the face of the beam top and side. The North beam has plywood on the face. How would you
like us to proceed with repairs at the beam, joists, metal strap and plywood?

INFORMATION RESPONSE
Repair deteriorated deck beams (cantilevered 4x12 typ.), and edge deck joist, and rim
joist per the attached detail sketch. Replace rusty existing straps at joists to match
existing, or use Simpson LSTA12.
