We have uncovered decay at unit deck 3C rim, and beam. The North beam has 1 /2° of decay
on top of the beam at the face. There is a metal strap on top of the joists to beam. How would
you like us to proceed with repairs to the beams, rim and straps?

INFORMATION RESPONSE
Repair deteriorated deck beams (cantilevered 4x12 typ.), and edge deck joist, and rim
joist per the attached detail sketch. Replace rusty existing straps at joists to match
existing, or use Simpson LSTA12.
