We have uncovered decay at unit deck 3F rim, beam. The north beam has decay that starts 6"
back from the front of the beam and goes 3° down the face. How would you like us to proceed
with repairs at the rim, and beam?

INFORMATION RESPONSE
Repair deteriorated deck beams (cantilevered 4x12 typ.), and edge deck joist, and rim
joist per the attached detail sketch. Replace rusty existing straps at joists to match
existing, or use Simpson LSTA12.
