at all (12) decks.
3. Engineer will visit site during demolition of first guardrail in order to
0 understand fasteners used in existing construction.
4. Engineer will review the existing fasteners for adequacy and direct
0 contractor to one of the three following approaches for reinstallation:
a. Reuse same fasteners with tension load testing.
b. Reinstall same or new threaded fasteners lower in
0 elevation by some amount in new holes (lower on the deck
beams) which will still provide for a T-6" minimum height
0 of guardrail after reinstallation.
c. Replace threaded lags or screws with equivalent -size
0 through bolts, nuts and washers.
