CALL TO ORDER
The Edmonds Memorial Cemetery Board was called to order by Greg Sarvis at 4:00 P.M. in
Room 113 of Anderson Center.

III. STAFF REPORT — ARVILLA OHLDE
A. Arvilla explained that the City of Edmonds has asked her to submit a budget showing a 2.5%
Cut for the year. Further to submit a budget with no cuts for the year, then to submit one
with a 5.0% decrease.
B. Budget presentations will begin next week.

STAFF REPORT — CLIFF EDWARDS

B. The cemetery office computer has been adapted to bring up names of those who are buried
with no headstones.
C. Irrigation water has been turned off; however will again be turned on in certain areas.
D. A resident of the area has asked that the cemetery board buy back a lot adjacent to her
husband . She has remarried and will be buried next to her husband in an alternate location.
Cliff has informed her that we do not buy back graves.
E. Cliff will attend the Fall Conference September 27-29, 2002. It was suggested that Cliff be
mindful of methods to increase sales that might be presented at the Fall Conference.
OLD BUSINESS
A. Bobbie Sherman and Esther Sellers were appointed to compose a committee to place
advertising in local newspapers regarding lots for sale in the cemetery, expending from $180
to $250 (Sellers/Stevenson). Carried.
B. Bob Stevenson, Greg Sarvis, Cliff Edwards and Dave Gebhardt, City Engineer, recently met
To discuss, costs of a retaining wall and niches, along with return on investment. Cliff
Wilwerth will be asked to join in on the next meeting.
