Deck Guardrails Removal and Replacement

Dear Isaiah:
The scope of work for this project is to replace a rotted plywood fascia board with a new Hardi
Panel fascia on three sides. In order to accomplish this, the existing deck guardrails will require
removal and reinstallation. Drawings for the building, including the decks, were made available to
us; however, we did not see a description of the fasteners used to anchor the guardrail posts to the
deck framing. Attached please see Detail SK-01 which recommends the process for removing and
reinstalling the guardrails.
