(RGI) has evaluated the impact to the neighboring property and provided response to Comment #3. Comment #3. Provide a profile showing that the excavation will not impact the neighboring sites and structures. RGI Response: The proposed remediation excavation is about 10 feet from the property line and 14 feet from the building. The maximum depth of the excavation will be about 15 feet deep and most of the excavation will be in very dense glacial till. The bottom of the excavation will be above the projected 45 degree line from the building foundation. Therefore, the proposed remediation excavation will not affect the neighboring building. When the excavation extends to the bottom 5 feet, it will be below the projected 45 degree line from the property line. Since the native soil is very dense and the excavation will last very short time, RGI doesn't believe that it will have any impact to the stability of the property.
