Please see below response, in letter form, to your inquiries regarding the above permit number with subsequent revised architecture plan per
your instructions.
Question 1: Please demonstrate on the plans the use of the new area that used to be the existing garage. Is this being used as a bedroom, living
area, shop, work out room are some examples that may be used.
Response: This is an existing structure that will be used for a home office/gym with an enclosed bathroom.
Question 2: Clearly demonstrate on the plans that this structure is to be heated or not heated.
Response: It is already indicated on the drawings that this structure is not going to be heated.
Question 3: Provide the U-value for the window.
Response: Millguard Energy Package U Value — 29
Question 4: Please provide the dimension of the sheeting that is being used for the infill of the existing opening. Please include the nailing
pattern that will be used for fastening of the plywood sheathing.
Response: 3/4 Inch Plywood sheeting. Nailing Pattern — 8 inch on center Existing sheathing is T1 11 @ % in and renail at 8 in pattern
to be covered with new Hardie Siding of % inch.
Question 5: Provide the details on the plans the hold downs that will be used for the walls that are being constructed for this project.
Response: % inch galvanized anchors with 7" embedment using a 3x3 square washer
