SUBJECT: PROJECT NARRATIVE - TEMP OCCUPANCY OF VACANT BUILDING
Dear Leif Bjorback,
The City of Edmonds' Development Services Department requests a temporary use permit for use
of a vacant building at 228-5`' Ave S for the purpose of hosting a community engagement event
related to the City's Comprehensive Plan update project.
The event is scheduled for November 5'. We anticipate attendees to come and go through out the
three-hour event. After the event, the City intends to host event organizers and performers to a
celebration party in the building.
Set up will include two visual displays, welcome tables, and straw bales for seating. There will be two
10'x10' tents located outside the barn doors to provide event materials during the event and
additional seating for the celebration party. A band will play music in the "stage area".
Building ingress/egress will be provided through a large barn door —no secondary ingress/egress is
available.
