We will follow their recommendations, such as but not limited to: - Remove the undocumented fill soils from the existing retaining wall alignments - All debris, including the organic -rich topsoils and demolished wall, should be promptly removed and hauled away from the site. - After the loose organic rich soils and retaining wall have been removed, the slope should be graded to no steeper than 4H:1V and covered with erosion control material. - Best Management Practices will be used to control erosion. Areas disturbed during wall removal will be protected from erosion. surface water may be diverted away from the stripped areas and bare soils. Silt fences or straw bales will be erected to prevent muddy water from flowing over the site slopes. - Disturbed areas will be replanted with vegetation at the end of demolition. The final graded slope will be stabilized by plantings and erosion control measures consisting of heavy-duty jute netting or coconut coir grid. - Final grading will incorporate appropriate erosion control measures to route stormwater runoff away from sloping areas and to appropriate discharge locations. - Runoff will not be allowed to flow over the site slopes either during demolition or on a permanent basis after demolition has been completed. - The site steep slopes will not be disturbed or modified through placement of any fill or removal of the existing vegetation. No material of any kind, such as excavation spoils, lawn clippings, debris, and soil stockpiles, will be placed on or near the slope. 7/2/21 - Any sloping areas disturbed during demolition will be planted as soon as practical to reduce the potential for erosion. The new vegetation will be maintained until it is established. - Replacement of vegetation will be performed in accordance with the City of Edmonds code. Under no circumstances will water be allowed to concentrate on the slopes. * Pursuant to removal of the retaining wall and following regrading of slopes, permanent stabilization shall be installed consistent with Nelson Geotech recommendations. Permanent stabilization shall include surface plantings, which are to be maintained by owner until fully established. * Any temporary or permanent routing of surface water onto BNSF slope shall be per the approval of BNSF.
