Honeywell Gerr.wei A"Clan 4y;'KP Gamewell FIRE CONTROL INSTRUMENTS by Honeywell Description The Gamewell-FCI Velociti® Series, addressable monitor module AMM-21F is a single Style B, Class B initiating device circuit (IDC) with a 47KW end -of -line resistor. This module provides an address for any device or group of devices connected to this circuit on the signaling line circuit (SLC) of the Gamewell- FCI addressable series fire alarm control panel. Any initiating device with normally open (N.C.) dry con- tacts may be made addressable when connected to the AMM-21F module. The Velociti® Series use a communication protocol that substantially increases the speed of communi- cation between the sensors and certain Gamewell- FCI analog addressable fire alarm controls. These devices operate in a grouped fashion. If one of the devices in the group has a status change, the panel's microprocessor stops the group poll and concentrates on the single device. The net effect is response speed up to five times greater than earlier designs. The AMM-21F module can be programmed to provide a wide variety of input functions to the Gamewell-FCI addressable series fire alarm control panels. It can be identified as a manual station, heat detector, ple- num detector, waterflow switch, tamper switch, N.O. contact, smoke detector, projected beam smoke detector, sub loop, remote zone, etc. It can also serve as a remote system silence, system reset, system acknowledge or drill switch. It is even possi- ble to customize its device type to meet specific job requirements. The initiating device circuit of the AMM-2F can sup- port a maximum line resistance of up to 40 ohms allowing the use of linear heat detection devices. The compact size facilitates the installation of the module inside manual stations, or mounting boxes of various types of alarm initiating devices. K 04/2018 @2018Hon Honeywell ©2018 Honeywell International Inc. NT B Standard, Relay, Isolator, Sounder, and Low Frequency Sounder Bases To meet local code and application requirements, Gamewell-FCI° offers standard 4" and 6" bases, as well as specialty base designs including relay, isolator, sounder and low frequency E sounder bases that are UL listed for low frequency operation and comply with NFPA 72 ° J requirements for sleeping spaces for the new Gamewell-FCI Series of addressable detectors as well as previous generations. The standard 4" and 6" bases offer a plug-in detector base intended for use in intelligent — systems, with screwterminals provided for power (+ and —), and remote annunciator B300-6 Standard 6" B20OS-WHSounder connections. Communication takes place over the power (+ and —) lines. The 4" base offers a Base (White) Base (White) compact design while the 6" base provides compatibility with a wider range of junction boxes. The specialty bases support application driven requirements. These bases employ a separate mounting plate that installs on various junction box sizes to eliminate unsightly surface - mount boxes. The mounting plate enables pre -wiring of all connections to speed and simplify installation. Relay bases (B224RB-WH/B224RB-IV) provide one form-C contact relay for control of auxiliary functions, such as door closure and elevator recall. The relay can operate in two --- different modes (short and long delay). The activation time for the short delay is 60-100 B501-WHITE Flangeless B501-BL Flangefess milliseconds, while the activation time for the long delay is 6-10 seconds. A shunt with pin 4" Base (White) 4" Base (Black) headers, located on the base PC board, is used to set the delay timing. Isolator bases (B224B1-WH/B224B1-IV) allow the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) loop to operate under fault conditions created from a short circuit preventing an entire communication loop from being disabled. The base isolates the section of the loop containing the short circuit from the remainder of the circuit and automatically restores when the fault is corrected. Sounder and low frequency (-LF) sounder bases are designed for new and existing dwelling unit applications. They offer maximum flexibility in installation, configuration, and operation to meet or exceed UL 268 and UL 464 requirements. The low frequency sounder bases are designed to meet the NFPA 72 sleeping space requirement to produce a fundamental frequency of 520 Hz+/-10%with a square wave or its equivalent. Studies show that a lower frequency, centered around 520 Hz, is the most idealto wake sleeping occupants, even those with mild to severe hearing loss. FEATURES AND BENEFITS • Bases enable quick and secure detector plug-in • SEMS Screws provide easy wiring connection • UL 268 compliant • Support for 12-24 AWG provides installation flexibility • Multiple base formats meet application requirements • Standard white colorwith ivory and black options • Mechanical locking feature restricts removal of attached sensor head • Specialty Base Features: • Pre -wired mounting plate simplifies installation • Application driven feature sets • Sounder bases both UL268 and UL464 compliant Honeywell Oft The B200S sounder and LF sounder bases (B200S-WH/B200S-IV/ B224RB-IV: Ivory, relay base B200S-LF-WH/B200S-LF-IV) adopt the same address as the B224BI-WH: White, isolator detector base detector, but use a unique device type on the loop. The Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) can use that address to command an individual sounder— or a group of sounders —to activate. The command set from the FACP can be tailored to multiple event - driven tone outputs allowing selection of volume (75 or 85 dBA), tone (ANSI Temporal 3, ANSI Temporal4, or March Time) and group. In addition, some FACPs will enable custom tone patterns. The B200S series sounder bases recognize the System Sensor synchronization protocol. This enables them to be used as a component of the general evacuation signal — along with other System Sensor AV appliances — when connected to a power supply or FACP output capable of generating the System Sensor synchronization pulses. The B200SR sounder and LF sounder bases (B200SR-WH/ B200SR-IWB200SR-LF-WH/B200SR-LF-IV) are fully compatible with existing B501BH Series sounder base installations. The device enables users to select one of two B501-supported tones (ANSI Temporal 3 or Continuous) through a jumper. HPFF12, HPFF12CM, HPFFI2E, HPFF12CME NAC Expander/Power Supply Description The Honeywell HPFF12 and HPFF12CM are Notification Appliance Circuit (NAC) Expander Power Supplies designed to extend the power capabilities of existing NACs and provide power for auxiliary devices. The HPFF12 and HPFF12CM con- nects to any 12 or 24V Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) or stand alone. They provide regulated and filtered 24VDC power to four NAC's and an auxiliary output. The NAC outputs are rated at 3.0 amps each and the auxiliary output is rated at 2.0 amps (this output is continuously supplied, even in alarm, and there- fore must be taken into account for power supply loading and battery size calculations). The combined output cannot exceed 12.0 amps. The HPFF12 and HPFF12CM provide independent output cir- cuit supervision so in the event of a NAC fault they can notify the attached FACP. In addition they have a trouble memory feature that displays past troubles (by NAC) for rapid diagnos- tics. Synchronization is built in for five appliance brands. The HPFF12 and HPFF12CM have two fully independent supervised initiating circuits that can be used for synchronized strobes and coded horns. Their NAC outputs may be config- ured as any of the following: • four Class B (Style Y) • two Class A (Style Z) • two Class B and one Class A • four Class A with the optional HPP31076 Class A adapter These power supplies contain an internal Battery charger capable of charging up to 26.0 amp -hour (AH) batteries. The HPFF12 is mounted in a lockable wall cabinet that can accommodate up to two 18AH batteries. The HPFF12CM is designed to mount in Honeywell's large equipment enclosure (EQBB-D4; order separately). Up to three HPFF12CM sup- plies can be mounted in an EQBB-D4 in positions 2, 3, and 4. Each HPFF12CM can accommodate two 12AH batteries. One of the most challenging aspects of a retrofit application is locating the existing End -of -Line (EOL) resistor. In these appli- cations that have EOL values other than the 3.9k normally used with the HPFF12, a single resistor matching the existing EOL can be used as a reference for all the outputs. This fea- ture speeds installation and system checkout because the actual EOL does not need to be located and changed in the circuit. The reference resistor must be within the range of 1.9k to 25k. NOTE: 4 separate programming resistors for the HPFF12 are pro- vided in the hardware kit shipped with each HPFF12 and HPFFB. They are 3.9K (5 of these are provided, need only 1 for program- ming), 2.2K (1 each), 4.7K (1 each) and 10K (1 each) Features • Four (4) power limited supervised notification application circuits (NAC's) capable of supplying +24VDC at 3.0 amp maximum each. • NAC output circuits may be configured as any of the follow- ing: — Four Class B (Style Y). — Two Class B & one Class A.
