Walkway & Stair Repair Project
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The goal of this project is to repair all safety hazards on concrete stair
treads and the common area concrete walkway called out by the City of
Edmonds. To accomplish this goal, the General Contractor (Contractor)
shall:
a.lnstall flashing at landing/stair edge (three locations) to prevent a trip
hazard
b.Grind the concrete surface at landing/stair transition to reduce trip
hazard
c.Secure the aluminum threshold (one location) with stainless steel
screws
d.Patch deterioration on the leading edge of concrete steps (four
locations) and landing edge (one location):
i.Apply SikaLatex R Concrete Bonding Adhesive to the
damaged sections of concrete
ii.Patch the damaged concrete tread to ensure it is level with
the top and leading surface of the existing concrete.
e.Remove potential trip hazards on the third -floor concrete walkway
(8 areas):
i.Remove debris and any loose concrete
ii.Prep and deep clean the area per manufacturer's
specifications for bodning agent & topping treatment
iii.Apply SikaLatex R Concrete Bonding Adhesive (or similar) per
manufacturer's specifications
iv.Apply exterior grade self -leveling concrete per manufacturer's
specifications. Ensure that the newly installed concrete is level
