Arrived onsite as requested to observe and document the installation of galvanized 2-inch diameter
schedule 80 pin piles. The piles were driven with a pneumatic 140-pound Rhino hammer. The piles
were driven to refusal, which is defined as 1-inch or less penetration in 1-minute of continuous driving
over the course of three cycles. According to the approved plans a minimum embedment depth of
20-feet is required. Please see the table below for details.
