On behalf of Applicant Housing Hope (HH) and Property Owner Edmonds Lutheran Church (ELC), Designs
Northwest Architects offers this cover letter regarding the Housing Hope Offsite Sports Court Commercial
Fill Grade and Modular Demolition online permit submissions. The modular demolition and sports court are
proposed on Edmonds Lutheran Church property under the enclosed recorded easement, and the sports court
will be constructed for use by the residents the 52-unit affordable multifamily project currently under
construction on adjacent Housing Hope property to the east.
This proposed Sports Court will be located at 3.05-acre site that is owned and occupied by Edmonds Lutheran
Church and located at 23525 84th Ave. W (APN 00576700002508). The following drawings and documents have
been included in this Sports Court Fill/Grade Permit submission:
Civil Plans (includes civil, topographic survey, title sheets / notes, accessibility details, site plan)
Landscape Plans (includes Tree Retention and Protection Plan)
Arborist Report
Geotechnical Report
Recorded Sports Court Easement
Storm Drainage Report / Stormwater Site Plan
There is an existing modular located in the sport court area that is proposed for removal from the project site.
This existing modular was installed under permit BLD2017-1842 and it is not occupied as a residence. It is the
intent of ELC and HH to relocate the modular offsite, however the future location is to be determined. Minimal
demolition will be required to remove modular from foundation, demolish foundation structures, stair and
landing, sidewalk, and cap and abandon utilities. No demolition of the actual modular unit is proposed. The
following drawings and documents have been included in this Modular Demolition submission:

The proposed Modular Demolition and Sports Court permits are associated with the Housing Hope ELC Field
Apartments currently under construction and located at 8215 2361h St. SW (APN 00576700002614). The following
