Dear Terry,
At your request, this office reviewed the subject project to review a holdown alternate for
the front shearwalls of the existing building.
The Simpson HDU4-SDS2.5 may be replaced with (2) Simpson MST37 with (2) '/2-inch
diameter expansion anchors each, with 3 '/2-inch concrete embedment. The top bolt must
be at least 3-inches down from the top of the concrete wall.
