RE: Zepeda King Deck and Carport Review Comments
The following is regarding comments from City of Edmonds review for the rebuild of the deck and
carport at the residence at 1225 11th Place North in Edmonds, Washington (Project Number
BLD2024-0560, Structural Designs Project 23020).
Sheet A2.0, Comment 4
The footings west of the existing house wall have been specified to be 28 inches in diameter, with
a minimum 24 inch depth, but no less than 12 inch embedment in competent native soil as per
the recommendations of the geotechnical report.
Sheet A4.0, Comment 5
The footings against the existing house wall have been revised to 12 inch wide by 24 inch long
footings with #4 bars drilled and epoxy embedded into the existing foundation wall to provide
adequate bearing support without undermining the existing footings. See attached Detail A.
All other review comments are not regarding structural issues and will be addressed by others.
