Description:
The details to hanger to the glulam on the Northside isn't working. The screws are either
snapping or not biting the concrete. Can we use wedge anchors or epoxy all thread to attach 2
2x12s to the wall and use the sds screw for the hanger into the double 2xl2?

Response:
Attach a 161/2" PT 4x6 HF#2 block (with the grain running vertical) behind the end
of the glulam to the concrete with (5) 3/4" diameter zinc coated threaded rods
embedded 6" into the concrete per the detail below. Use Simpson Set-XP epoxy.
Attach the HUCQ612-SDS hanger to the PT 4x6 block.
Attachment of the horizontal MST48 from beam to concrete will be per page 2 of
RFI #4.
