7.0. Braced wall Calculations:
Per R602.10.2.3 for braced wall lines 16' or less there can be one braced wall panel per wall that is 48" min length or alternatively shorter braced wall lines as noted below, since there is room for
one braced wall panel at each of the (2) 12' long walls that exceeds 48" 1 am using this paragraph to comply for those two walls.
For the bracing of the 23'-5" long wall: Per R602.10.3, the required length of bracing along each braced wall line shall be determined as
follows:
N
N
L0
Total minimum length of braced wall panels per Table 602.10.2(3) using linear interpolation per footnote a for and seismic zone D
Wall length 25'-3": 1.6 + 3.1= (4.7/ 50)x 23'-2"= 2'-2"
Total Minimum length of braced wall panels per Table R602.3(1) Braced wall line spacing 10' Ultimate design wind speed < 110 Method CS-WSP:
Wall length 25'-3": 1.5 + 3.0= 4.5 (4.5/ 50)x 23.5"= 2'-2"'
So both are equal, the minimum length subject to the adjustment factors below is 2'-2".
Adjustment factors per Table R602.10.3(2)
1. Exposure B (x1.0) No change
2. Roof eave-to-ridge height Roof only. the eave height is 5.9'.
Using linear interpolation 1-0.7+ .30. 10-5=5. 0.9/5= 0.18 0.18 x 0.06= 0.096 0.70+.0108 = 0.071"
2'-2" x 0.071= 1'-7"
3. Wall height adjustment 9'=.90
4. Number of braced wall lines per plan direction =2 adjustment factor is 1.0
5. Additional 800 pound hold down device =0
6. Interior gypsum board omitted (it will not be omitted)
7. Gypsum board fastening any story 4" o.c this option will not be selected.
Conclusion, the wall lengths provided are 4'-10" and 10'-8 1/2" which far exceed the requirements.

CALCULATIONS
8.0 Braced wall panel notes:
Per R602.10.2.2 Exception 1 the braced panel of Method WSP shall be permitted to begin no more than 10' from the end of a braced wall line provided that it has a minimum 24" wide panel for
method WSP applied to each side of the building corner as shown in End Condition 4 of Figure R602.10.7 and the end of the braced wall panel closes to the end of the braced wall line shall
have an 1800 lb hold down device fastened to the stud at eh edge of the braced wall pane closest to the foundation or framing below as shown in end condition 5 of Figure R602.10.7
The shearwall locations comply with the above and a MiTek PHD2A with STB16 achor bolts are provided which exceeds the required loads. Fastening to framing per MiTek (6 WS3 Screws).
