Dear Lula,
On January 26th, 2023, a field crew from Goldsmith, under my direction, surveyed the as -built elevation of
highest point on the roof of the house currently under construction at 15827 70th Ave. W. in Edmonds,
Washington (Tax Parcel No. 00513100003716).
Elevations are based on the published elevation of the sanitary sewer manhole rim in 70`h Avenue West, in
front of the subject lot as shown on sheet A-1 for the approved design plans. Elevation = 342 feet.
The average finished grade for the house as provided on said sheet A-1 is 363.35 feet. The highest measured
roof peak elevation by survey is 387.97 feet. The difference between the highest peak elevation and the
average finished grade is 24.62 feet which is below the maximum roof height by code of 25 feet.
Because of the lack of documentation available defining the basis of the design elevation Goldsmith also
established a new average finished grade following the same pattern and procedure shown on said sheet A-
1. Current ground elevations were collected at the envelope corners of the house. The average of the four
elevations produced an average grade elevation of 363.34 feet confirming that the basis of the survey
matched that of the design.
