Since this is a remodel project and the house is existing, we would like to use theprescriptive method for meeting structural
requirements. Sheer walls would be new exterior walls with 1/2" CDX plywood longer than 4'. The nailing pattern would be
8d-nails at 6" O.C. at edges and 12" O.C. in the field.
If structural calculations are required, can this permit be started and the calculations added to the permit within one month?
During project review, a reviewer may require you to submit a document that was originally
waived at submittal.
