Dear Edmonds Planning Dept,
I spoke with Natalie today regarding the sewer clean out that was noted by the engineering inspector.
She asked that I send this e-mail to resolve the issue.
For the remodel project at 7527 172nd st saw, I found an older drawing from the Edmonds city website
to determine that there was a sewer that ran under my deck that would be replaced by our addition.
However, when we excavated the area for the concrete foundation, we never did find any sewer line. So
the kitchen drain was connected internally in the house to the existing kitchen drain line.
Therefore, there was no work done overtop of an existing sewer line, and there does not be a clean out
added for this project. Would you please refund me for the engineering permit (ENG2022-0523) and
resolve the inspection exception.
