REVIEWED ENG RESUB4 BLD2022-0439+SEWAGE PUMP INFO+6.5.2023_11.21.31_AM+3587492RESUB Jun 05 2023 CITY OF EDMONDS DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT May 31, 2023 City of Edmonds, Development Review — Public Works ATTN: Public Works Director 7110 210th St SW Edmonds, WA, 98026 Re: MEADOWVIEW LOT 4 — ANGLE RESIDENCE E/ONE GRINDER PUMP CALCUATIONS LDC# 21-164 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Surveying LDC1 Engineering Planning BLD2022-0439 REVIEWED BY SENIOR UTILITIES ENGINEER MIKE DELILLA The following summary and design calculations are in accordance with the City of Edmonds design standards for a residential sewage pump for the Meadowview Estates, Lot 4 project. The project proposes to build a single-family home and will necessitate the installation of a residential sewage pump and associated force main to sewer out the residence. The pump unit will be an E/One DH151 simplex grinder pump which has been designed in accordance with the City of Edmonds standards. Please see Appendix A for all calculations for head pressure and buoyancy. EXISTING CONDITIONS Lot 4 of Meadowview Estates is approximately 24.36 vertical feet below the connection point to the gravity system installed near the driveway along 72nd Ave W. The site contains moderate slopes with steep slopes located along the westerly property line. A. PUMP SELECTION A E/One DH151 grinder pump has been specified for the proposed residence. Per the manufacturer, this pump is rated for flows up to 1,500 gallons per day (GPD) with a discharge capacity of 15 gallons per minute at 0 pgis. For a single-family residence, E/One assumes a daily flow of 200-300 GPD for a single-family home and for these calculations, a value of 300 GPD was used for sizing. B. HEAD PRESSURE CALCULATIONS Total Dynamic Head (TDH) has been calculated based upon actual site conditions and takes into account the construction of 1.5" force main pipe on the lot. Minor loss calculations are summarized in Appendix A. A summary of the TDH calculation is below: Service ABOVE t it e Standard ph: 425.806.1869 • fx: 425.482.2893 • www.LDCcorp.com Meadowview Lot 4- Angle Residence May 31, 2023 Page 2 of 10 Total Dvnamic Head Calculations: Elevation head = 24.36 ft Force main pipe losses = 2.77 ft (LF 1.5" PVC, C = 150) Force main minor losses = 0.21 ft* TDH: = 27.34 ft *A summary of pipe bend and valve counts can be in Appendix A (Page A-4) C. BOUYANCY CALCULATIONS Station Weight has been calculated from standard specifications given by E/One for the DH151 unit and associated rails, fixtures, piping and pump.
